Snapchat has this week published a new research report, conducted in partnership with CASSANDRA, which looks at Gen Z shopping trends, including product discovery behaviour and their expectations of brands.

And while most of the findings are as you would expect, there are some relevant notes that marketers should take into consideration when looking to connect with the next generation of consumers.

Much has been made about the next generation's social conscience, and the need to showcase where your company stands on certain issues in order to solidify your appeal. Apple Music's New Lyrics Landing Page Celebrates Songwriters Like Halsey, YBN Cordae & More

On the heels of Apple Music unveiling its new real-time lyrics feature, on Monday (Sept. 23) the streaming service debuted a Lyrics landing page that tips a hat to songwriters.

Real-time lyrics launched last week as part of Apple's new iOS 13 operating system, and allows users to display song lyrics, karaoke-style, while a song is playing. The new landing page is intended to "celebrate this new frontier in the listening experience," according to its page description.

It includes a new "Lyrics to Live By" video series where artists tell the stories behind their most career-defining lines.

Facebook Kicks Off Its Stories Can Do It Campaign

Facebook's new global cross-platform campaign, which kicked off Monday, is aimed at telling the story of, well, stories across Instagram, Facebook and Messenger. The social network said 62% of respondents to a survey it commissioned from Ipos became more interested in brands or products after seeing them in stories.

Facebook teamed up with Droga5 on Stories Can Do It, which is aimed at highlighting the impact that the Stories format has on culture, business, commerce and society. → Read more here
