Instagram’s new Stories sticker lets you ask your followers to join a new group chat
Instagram’s newest Stories sticker lets people ask their followers to join a new group chat and then gives the poster the power to select who can join. The new feature, called the chat sticker, joins a bunch of other stickers Instagram has introduced to Stories, including polls, question boxes, mentions, locations, hashtags, and countdowns, among others. The chat sticker is relatively straightforward, and Instagram is positioning it as a solution for people who want to have a big group conversation about something or for making plans. → Read more here.
Instagram’s Stop Motion Update May Be a Game Changer
Instagram might be launching a new tool that would be a game changer in the sense that it would make it a great deal easier to find video based content that you can actually use on a regular basis without having to make any actual videos. As noted by Jane Manchun Wong, this new tool would allow you to take a sequence of pictures that will be turned into a stop motion video by Instagram, and what’s more is that there will be a ghost image of the previous picture superimposed on your camera so that you can make sure that the placement of the object that you are recording is relatively stable. → Read more here.
Facebook update allows top fan targeting on organic posts
Facebook is rolling out a new option which enables Pages to publish updates targeted to their top Page fans specifically.(…) the option enables Pages to create posts exclusively for Top Fans, in order to 'thank them or share exclusive content'. Some users have had the option available to them for the last few months, so it may already be active on your Page. → Read more here.

Taylor Swift's back catalog sold to Scooter Braun for over $300m
As a result of the deal, Ithaca Holdings owns and controls all six of Taylor Swift’s multi-platinum studio albums including Taylor Swift, Fearless, Speak Now, Red, 1989 and Reputation. Now, in a shockingly frank post, Swift has publicly hit out at Borchetta and, in particular, Braun, who, she claims, has been responsible for “incessant, manipulative bullying” of her for years.
